Sandy has 30 years of a variety of experience, achieved in a step-by-step process. She started as an ancillary staff member in the hospital at a young age and continued as an LPN, ADN, and BSN, and then worked for and became an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Sandy is currently specializing in pain management since 2019. She has prior experience in cardiology, family practice, orthopedics, and pain management ,substance abuse ,mental health. She loves her family and fur babies and spends time reading, playing board games, cooking, and going on weekend camping trips. She is working as our current provider at Painless Peach Pain Care in Flagstaff, Arizona, and is interested in treating every patient with the most appropriate and modern methods. The goal is to allow space for the patient to discuss and vent how they feel about how pain affects their everyday life. Then, she works with the patient to make an active treatment plan to keep them functional with minimal discomfort and improve their quality of life. She will collaborate with local physicians and interventionalist to keep pain to a minimum.
We provide time for patients to discuss how they feel about their pain and day-to- day functioning to create a collaborative treatment plan.
Not all patients have one singular pain area but multiple pain sites, which require a multimodal plan of care and collaboration by all the patient’s medical providers. Sandy Adams, NP, works with all orthopedists, Neurosurgeons, and interventionalist in the area. The goal is to help the patient be as functional and active as possible and have the best quality of life with the least invasive plan of care based on the patient’s current pain syndrome.
